Steep sloping roofs, deep overhangs, a covered terrace, an open-air gallery, and tall clerestory windows that capture warm air displaced by the breeze, respond to the climate and give the building it´s character.

The labs simultaneously handle research at workstations, instruction on individual computers, formal lectures and a traditional desk layout for exams.

The art workshops are located on the second floor to take advantage of the space made available by the sloping roof. A grid is suspended to hold tools and large format artwork. Sliding partitions make possible opening a space suitable for exhibits.
