The architectural object is designed to become part of the vastness and beauty of the plains of Guanacaste. It is conceived to feel like a topographical formation, to make the beholder think construction is an “other” nature. Concrete was the material of choice, and the expression of its tectonic quality the objective of our design.
Due to programmatic reasons, the edifice was designed to be built in two phases. Its circulation core, comprised of the main lobby, reception area, elevator and staircase, will articulate them. This node will serve open office space which wil attend the administration of Ingedesa, a fast-growing construction company based in Liberia.
The offices are comprised inside the spaces that lie between vertical concrete planes which make the walls, and are radiated from points in the landscape. These are in turn joined by a cast-in-place waffle slab that echoes ordering lines which trace their positions.
