The Blue Valley School, Escazú
The Blue Valley School has been an ongoing project since 1995 when we conceived the first version of its Master Plan.
The architecture embodies the institution´s vision: order within the confusing reality of our city, permanence in a world that is ever-changing, innovation within tradition.
The project is sited in a 4.6 hectare property in San José, a usually warm and rainy suburban setting.
Cost has been a determining factor at every stage.
The students´ ages range from three to nineteen. We have created functionally differentiated structures that cater to their diverse needs. Solids, voids, paths and nodes of activity are unified in their overall disposition to evoke a unique spirit of the place.
